Once we arrived at plug we were given a brief of what they wanted us to film and what they didn't want us to film, and also what areas we could have access to. After we then left the site to buy some lunch as we left straight from college, and then when we arrived back at plug we then set up the cameras to interview the band that had arrived, then when and took some practice shots of the first band as they were the only band doing a sound check at the time.
We set up the larger Sony Camera for interviewing the band as it captured more in the shot and was a lot better for sound quality, when we was using the camera to interview we also put headphones into the camera to make sure the sound quality was good as if it wasn't very good quality it would take more time later in the editing process, so the better the sound quality the less time we would need to spend editing.
To make sure the sound was it's best that it could possibly be we used the mics on each other to make sure they were working properly by listening to the result through a pair of headphones.
The first interview we did was of the Bone lab which was in the red room where we had access to before the crowds of people starting entering, the next interview was more of a struggle as it was further on into the night it was in the green area where the sound quality really wasn't great as their interview really did take a bit of editing as there was a lot of noise from the crowd and the music. Were as the last band the north was great for both footage and sound as we recorded it in the propaganda side and as propaganda didn't start till quite late on there was plenty of room and it was really quite so to improve this I would interview all the bands in the same place however I think that interviewing the bands in different areas kind of got a mixture of footage and a feel of the plug building rather than one set place all the time, showing the people watching what the building is actually like.
